Simon Andersson

Simon Andersson currently serves as a Data Engineer in Analytics at GHGSAT, contributing to the company's mission of monitoring methane and carbon dioxide emissions at major industrial sites globally. Previously, Simon held the position of Geospatial Data Science Lead at Sylvera, where leadership of the machine learning team facilitated transparency in carbon markets, supporting substantial funding rounds. Prior experience includes roles as a Geospatial Data Scientist at Sylvera and a Remote Sensing Engineer at ICEYE, where contributions helped the company secure significant funding and grow rapidly. Earlier, Simon developed satellite data workflows for monitoring illegal logging at Telespazio VEGA UK and completed an internship at Satellite Applications Catapult. Simon holds an MSci (Hons) in Physics from Imperial College London.
