Mechanical Design Engineer at Ghost Robotics

Matthew Darnall has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Starting in 2014, they worked as an Engineering Co-op at Resolution Management Consultants, Inc. In 2015, they joined Utz Quality Foods as a Preventative Maintenance Writer. Matthew then moved on to Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in 2017, where they held multiple roles including Senior Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Engineer. During their time at Stanley Black & Decker, they developed innovative cordless nailers and won the Power Tool Innovation Award. In 2020, Matthew worked as a Product Development & Test Engineer at Dometic, where they played a key role in developing electronic linear actuators for marine steering applications. Matthew then joined Globus Medical in 2021, initially as a Mechanical Project Engineer and later as a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer. At Globus Medical, their responsibilities included leading a development team, designing electromechanical systems for orthopedic surgeries, and creating brushless motors and lithium-ion batteries. Most recently, Matthew joined Ghost Robotics in 2023 as a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Matthew Darnall completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at York College of Pennsylvania from 2012 to 2017. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering at Penn State Great Valley from 2021 to 2023.
