Caryn Cross

Caryn Cross is an experienced professional in cybersecurity and risk governance, currently serving as the Executive Director of Cybersecurity Risk Governance at GHX since September 2022. Previously, Caryn held multiple roles at Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield from May 2017 to September 2022, including Technology Risk Governance and Third Party Security Leader, Team Leader for Technology Risk Governance, and IT Risk & Compliance Manager. Prior experience includes an IT Compliance position at Workiva, as well as serving as Director of Information Risk Management, Security Operations & Engineering at Athene USA. Caryn began a career in information security with AEGON Americas as an Information Security Officer from May 1999 to April 2012. Caryn earned a degree from the University of Iowa.
