Greg Bassi is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in-house, currently serving as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at GHX since November 2017. Bassi's legal expertise encompasses corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracting, and litigation, among other areas. Previously, Bassi was the Associate General Counsel at GHX and served as Vice President & General Counsel at Lumere, Inc., where oversight of all legal affairs included successful management of its acquisition by GHX. Prior to these roles, Bassi held key positions with the State of Illinois, including Policy Advisor for Healthcare and Human Services under Governor Bruce Rauner, and Chief of Staff within the Illinois Department of Human Services, overseeing extensive operations and budgetary matters. Bassi began legal career as an associate at Barnes & Thornburg LLP and Winston & Strawn LLP after clerking for the Tenth Circuit. Bassi holds a JD, cum laude, from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a BA, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University.
