Cathryn Ramirez is the current Executive Director of Alumni Development & Continuing Education at the Gemological Institute of America. Cathryn has held this position since December of 2016. Prior to their current role, they spent 28 years with Tiffany & Co. where they were the Group Director. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of the retail business in the San Diego store, as well as oversight of multiple branches in Southern California. Cathryn successfully managed sales, P&L, operations, talent management, client development, inventory control, customer service and public relations through volatile business cycles since 2008. During their time with Tiffany & Co., they were known as a brand ambassador and spokesperson, showcasing Tiffany as an industry leader in the community through media outlets and in-store events. Cathryn was also a peer coach and mentor for new directors.
Cathryn Ramirez has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration - Marketing from the Texas McCombs School of Business. Cathryn is also a Graduate Gemologist from the GIA (Gemological Institute of America).
