Cathy Brown

Cathy Brown is an experienced procurement professional currently serving as a Procurement Supervisor and previously as a Senior Buyer at the Gemological Institute of America since March 2022. Prior to this role, Cathy gained extensive experience at the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System, working from January 2006 to March 2022 in various positions, including Buyer, Procurement Assistant, and Administrative Assistant. Cathy's early career included a position as Front Desk Manager at Crown City Inn from 1998 to September 2006. Cathy holds educational credentials from Southwestern Community College District, attended between 2003 and 2006, and completed studies at Southwest High School from 1987 to 1990.
