Ivan Caplan

Ivan Caplan is the President and CEO of G.I.A. Associates, Inc. since January 2012 and also serves as a Founding Member of Vital Strategies Group, a consortium aimed at supporting large companies in technology identification for the US military market while advising small businesses. In addition, Ivan Caplan has held the position of President at the Maritime Technology Alliance since February 2002, promoting maritime capabilities nationally. Previous experience includes significant roles in business development and project management at Siemens USA and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, along with early career positions at the Office of Naval Research and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. Ivan Caplan's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Mechanics and Materials Science from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Drexel University, complemented by advanced education at the Federal Executive Institute and MIT Sloan Business School.
