Kirk Ball

Kirk Ball is the EVP & CTO at Giant Eagle. Kirk was previously the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at The Christ Hospital Health Network from June 2017 to June 2020. Prior to that, they were the Chief Technology Officer and V.P. Enterprise Retail Solutions at Kroger from August 2013 to June 2017.

Ball has been instrumental in improving foundational technology capability, stability and performance for all Kroger infrastructure technology solutions, enabling company growth. Kirk has also partnered with Sr. Business Leaders to develop business / application strategy for Health & Wellness, Merchandising, Store, Loyalty and Marketing business units.

In addition, Ball has co-led creation and delivery of award winning innovation within Kroger enterprise in the form of Temperature Monitoring, Digital Shelf Edge, Automated Production Planning and Kroger Video Management solutions which have driven significant savings and increased Customer and Operational capability created a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Kirk Ball has an Associate's degree in Accounting/Finance/Systems Analysis from Miami University.

Their manager is Laura Shapira Karet, CEO. They work with Marci Milito - VP, Communications, Sue Carenbauer - VP, IT Transformation, and Beth Newlands Campbell - President.
