Michael Watson

Michael Watson is a seasoned professional in the fields of design and photography, currently serving as a textbook designer at Gibbs Smith since March 2022. With a rich background as the owner of Watson Art Studio since 2002, Michael specializes in location photography, including environmental portraiture and corporate events. Previously, Michael held the roles of Art Director and Photographer for The Lutheran magazine from December 1994 to January 2015, overseeing design and production for a monthly magazine. Additionally, Michael worked as a Graphic Designer at Augsburg Fortress Publishers from 1992 to 1995, focusing on creating print materials for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Michael holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration and Graphic Design from Kendall School of Design, completed in 1984.
