Ara Balkian

Ara Balkian, MD, MBA, is the Founder and CEO of Pediatric Resource Group and serves as the Chief Medical Director at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Ara has held the position of Chief Medical Officer at GIBLIB and Senior Strategic Advisor at Innovative ECMO Concepts Inc. since 2022 and 2023, respectively. With extensive experience at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Ara has been a Pediatric Hospitalist since 2003 and has been the Chief Medical Director of Inpatient Operations since 2012. Ara also holds an Associate Professor role at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, where they have taught since 2003. Ara earned an MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business and an MD from Thomas Jefferson University.
