Ali Asad is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in portfolio management and asset allocation. Currently serving as the Lead Portfolio Manager for equity quantitative long-only and long-short strategies at GIC since August 2016, Ali contributes to a multi-asset multi-strategy portfolio. Prior experience includes roles at NTUC Income from August 2010 to July 2016, where Ali functioned as Assistant Manager/Manager in Asset Allocation, focusing on absolute return multi-asset class portfolios, and as Executive/Senior Executive in External Fund Management, overseeing a multi-manager portfolio. Ali began the career as a Management Associate. Education includes a Bachelor's degree in Economics & Business (Finance) from Nanyang Technological University Singapore and an exchange program in Economics at the University of the Witwatersrand.
