Daniel Hui has extensive work experience in various roles within the finance industry. Daniel currently holds the position of Senior Vice President, Macro Research and Strategy at GIC since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at J.P. Morgan for 10 years, where they held the roles of Executive Director, Global FX Strategy, and Head of EM Asia FX Strategy. Before joining J.P. Morgan, they served as a Senior FX Strategist, Asia at HSBC from 2007 to 2012. Daniel's career in finance began in 2005 as an Economist at JPMorgan. Daniel also has experience as a Software Engineer at Sapient Corp from 1999 to 2001.

Daniel Hui completed their education with a BA in Economics and Computer Science from Amherst College in 1999. Daniel later obtained an MA in International Economics and China Studies from the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University between 2002 and 2004. Daniel also attended the Hopkins-Nanjing School of Chinese and American Studies for a brief period in 2003. Prior to their college education, they attended Plano Senior High School, although the specific years are unknown. Additionally, they briefly studied at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1998.
