Gary Chin

Gary Chin is a Senior Vice President at GIC, responsible for overseeing a team that manages corporate and portfolio direct tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing matters since April 2023. Prior to this role, Gary served as the APAC Tax TP Director at Credit Suisse from December 2013 to August 2023, and held the position of Director Tax TP at Barclays from October 2010 to May 2013. Earlier in Gary's career, Tax Director and Vice President positions were held at Merrill Lynch from May 2000 to September 2010. Gary holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with majors in Accounting and Finance from The University of Western Australia and is an Accredited Tax Advisor through the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals, with education at the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia completed from 1994 to 1995.
