Karen Er is currently the Senior Vice President of Regulatory Compliance at GIC, a position they have held since 2023. Previously, they served as the Head of Compliance APAC at Amber Group from 2021 to 2023, and before that, they were a Senior Compliance Adviser at Ant Group from 2020 to 2021. Karen has extensive experience in regulatory compliance, having also worked as a Director at Barclays Investment Bank from 2011 to 2020 and as an Associate at Goldman Sachs from 2008 to 2011. They began their career as an Assistant Director at the Monetary Authority of Singapore from 2004 to 2007. Academically, Karen is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts at The University of Chicago and a Master of Arts at Yale University.
