Dan Halford

Dan Halford is a seasoned professional in trade research and quantitative analysis, currently positioned at GIC since October 2016. Previously, Dan held the same title at BlackRock from August 2013 to September 2016 and served as a Quantitative Researcher at AHL from October 2005 to June 2012. In roles at AHL, Dan focused on transaction cost modeling, developed market impact models for various financial instruments, and managed large datasets. As a Portfolio Manager and Researcher, Dan executed systematic risk arbitrage strategies and developed quantitative trading strategies for global equity markets, overseeing the entire hedge fund investment cycle. Dan holds a Master’s degree in Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from The University of Edinburgh.
