Derrick Lim

Derrick Lim has over 18 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, currently serving as a Team Lead Manager at GIC since December 2010. In this role, Derrick unified diverse systems and storage administration into a single team and revamped the private cloud infrastructure with a new hyper-converged infrastructure solution. Derrick has successfully managed a team of 7 senior engineers and a vendor team of 30, all while streamlining operational costs without compromising infrastructure services. Previous positions at GIC included Vice President and Technical Manager, demonstrating expertise in automation systems and storage architecture. Prior experience at PSA Corporation Limited involved leading operations for a trading platform and managing Unix systems. Derrick holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
