Hao Dong

Hao Dong currently serves as Senior Vice President at GIC, where responsibility includes building a commodity team within FIMA and managing an absolute return portfolio focused on key commodities through futures, options, macro strategies, and external managers. Prior to this role, Hao Dong was a Portfolio Manager at Chaos Investment, where a cross-commodities and macro portfolio was managed alongside the establishment of the Chaos Research Institute. Experience also includes serving as a Portfolio Manager at Kaifeng Investment, starting the base metal desk, and managing industrial commodities. Earlier in career, Hao Dong worked as an Analyst at Edesia Asset Management, performing fundamental analysis on industrial commodities and conducting China macro research. Academic qualifications include an Executive MBA from China Europe International Business School and a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, along with an exchange program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and studies in acoustics at Nanjing University.
