Michael Benzinger

Michael Benzinger currently serves as Assistant Vice President in the Special Opportunities Group at GIC, a position held since 2023. Prior to this role, Michael was an Associate at Sixth Street from 2021 to 2023, focusing on the Strategic Capital Group. Earlier experience includes working as an Analyst at BC Partners from 2019 to 2021, after a brief role as a Summer Analyst at the same firm in 2018. Michael's career began at Queen's University Investment Counsel, where responsibilities included serving as Chief Investment Officer from 2015 to 2019, overseeing a student-run investment group with C$1.4 million in assets under management. Additional summer analyst positions were held at InstarAGF Asset Management Inc. in 2017. Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen's University and has also completed an exchange semester at The University of Hong Kong.
