Fred Hopper

Fred Hopper has over 30 years of work experience in various roles. Fred is currently the Vice President of Security at Giesecke+Devrient Mobile Security, a position they have held since September 2017. Prior to this, Fred served as the Director of Security at the same company from October 2008 to September 2017. Before joining Giesecke+Devrient, they were the President and Senior Consultant at Fred Hopper and Associates Inc. from August 2007 to October 2008. Fred also has experience as the Director of Corporate Security, IT, and Quality at Metaca Corporation from September 2003 to July 2007. Fred worked as a Consultant in Network Security and Architecture at Fred Hopper and Associates Inc. from March 2002 to September 2003. Fred started their career as a Guard and Historical Interpreter at Historic Fort York in 1982 and worked there till 1985. Throughout their career, Fred has gained experience in multiple areas including network management, technical support, and quality assurance.

Fred Hopper obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Psychology and Sociology from York University from 1983 to 1987. In 1985 to 1986, they also participated in a study exchange program at the University of York, focusing on Psychology.
