Rainer G. is a seasoned information security professional with extensive experience in cybersecurity roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the Head of Security CBDC at Giesecke+Devrient since August 2025, Rainer oversees the Information Security Strategy and Management System for a platform focused on digital currency implementation. Prior experience includes tenure as Cyber Security Officer and CISO at Scalable Capital, as well as IT Security Manager at MorphoSys, where leadership and development of IT security and compliance programs were key responsibilities. Additional experience encompasses co-founding and serving as CTO/CISO of NSIDE ATTACK LOGIC, IT Security Analyst at Compass Security AG, and various roles at genua GmbH, OpenBSD, and academic positions at the Max Planck Institute. Rainer holds a Diplom in Informatik from Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences.
