Severino Sequeira

Severino Sequeira is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Technical Lead / CTO for Central Bank Digital Currency at Giesecke+Devrient since November 2021. Previously, Severino held the position of Head of Cloud Development at ALLPLAN from June 2018 to November 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Head of Department, Project Manager, and Software Engineer at Wirecard from December 2009 to May 2018, as well as a Software Engineer role at Qimonda AG from July 2006 to March 2009, focusing on software development and optimization for test systems. Early career experience includes serving as a Product Engineer at Qimonda Portugal, S.A. from June 2004 to June 2006, where responsibilities included managing test software and process improvements. Severino Sequeira holds a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering with a focus on Computer Software Engineering from Universidade de Aveiro, completed in 2003.
