Coen Baars

Coen Baars is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software development and product innovation. As the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Giftomatic since August 2019, Coen has focused on enhancing search experiences through vector search and LLMs. Previously, Coen served as the Head of Product Development and co-owner at Symbaloo.com, leading a team to create educational resource tools for teachers. Additional roles include Chief Technology Officer at MECASI, where Coen developed a community platform for the real-estate market, and a freelance web development consultant aiding Dutch SMEs. Coen began the professional journey as a Full-stack Developer at Atlantis Creative B.V., after earning a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Software Engineering from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.
