Eric Lauer

Eric Lauer has a diverse range of work experience. Eric started their career as a Legal Intern in the Corporate department at White & Case in 2009. Eric then worked as an M&A analyst intern at Credit Agricole CIB in 2010, followed by a role as a Private Equity analyst intern at the French Sovereign Fund in 2011. From 2012 to 2015, Eric worked as a Senior Consultant at McKinsey & Company.

In 2015, Eric joined Jumia Group and held various positions. As the CEO of Jumia Global, they oversaw the cross-border marketplace, accounting for about 30% of Jumia's business. Eric then became the CEO of Classifieds, managing four listings websites and overseeing operations in multiple countries. This business unit was successfuly sold to competitors.

In 2019, Eric co-founded Artur'In and served as the US CEO. Artur'In provided small businesses with a digital communication solution using AI technology. A majority stake in the company was later sold to Providence Strategic Growth.

Most recently, Eric founded Giftory in 2023. As the Founder & CEO, they created a platform that offers a curated collection of experiences for various occasions, emphasizing the importance of gifting experiences rather than tangible items.

Eric Lauer's education history is as follows:

From 1994 to 2005, Eric attended the French International School of Hong Kong/Lycée Français International de Hong Kong, where they completed their high school education. Eric'sfield of study during this time included mathematics and physics.

From 2006 to 2008, Eric attended the Institution Saint Jean Douai Prépa HEC. Although no degree is listed, their coursework included mathematics, economics, philosophy, English, Chinese, and Spanish.

From 2008 to 2012, Eric attended HEC Paris, where they earned a Master of Science in Management. Eric'scoursework included corporate finance, strategy, accounting, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate law.

Simultaneously, from 2010 to 2012, Eric also attended Sciences Po, where they obtained a Master's degree in Public management. Eric'scoursework included economics, public policies, finance, and Chinese.
