Peter O'Flaherty

Peter O'Flaherty is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in infrastructure and utilities management. Currently serving as the Head of Network Utilities & Data Infrastructure at Equitix since February 2019, Peter oversees the management of investments in critical utility services. Additionally, Peter holds various board positions, including Director of Fund Management and Board Member at Gigaclear, which operates a rural fibre-to-the-premises network in the UK, and serves as a Board Member at firmus energy, Grain Connect Limited, Freedom Fibre, and Electricity North West, contributing to advancements in sustainable energy and connectivity. A former Founding Partner at NIBC Bank, Peter played a pivotal role in raising capital for infrastructure projects across Europe, including the acquisition of Welcome Break, where strategic leadership was applied to enhance operations across the network of motorway service stations. Peter holds a Master’s degree in Property Development and Planning from London South Bank University and a Bachelor's in Construction and Civil Engineering from Coventry University.
