Chris Eiben

Chris Eiben, Ph.D., is a distinguished biotechnology entrepreneur and researcher, serving as the Founder and CEO of GigaCrop since June 2020. Prior to this role, Chris held the position of Entrepreneurial Research Fellow at Cyclotron Road from June 2020 to May 2022 and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Berkeley Lab from April 2019 to June 2020. Chris's academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, where studies were conducted from 2012 to 2019, and earlier research experience as a Research Scientist and Lab Technician in Prof. David Baker's Lab at the University of Washington from October 2009 to August 2012, following the completion of a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the same institution.
