Rakesh Ranjan is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in embedded systems and network visibility. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Engineer at Gigamon since December 2015, Rakesh focuses on embedded platform development for network visibility and security. Before this role, Rakesh was a Software Engineer at Cisco, where responsibilities included individual contributions in embedded system and firmware development. Rakesh also held the position of Architect Platform Software at Vihaan Networks Ltd. from March 2006 to December 2013 and began his career as a Research Engineer at the Centre for Development of Telematics from February 2003 to March 2006. Rakesh holds a B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, earned from 1998 to 2002.
