Sean Magee

Sean Magee has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sean most recently worked as a Senior Sales Engineer - Federal at Gigamon starting from March 2020. Before that, they served as the Director of Business Development at an anonymous company from November 2019 to March 2020. From November 2017 to September 2019, Sean worked as a Senior Lead Sales Engineer at CenturyLink. Prior to that, they held the position of Federal Sales Engineer at Level 3 Communications from June 2017 to September 2019. Sean also worked as a Principal Solutions Engineer at Verizon Terremark from December 2012 to March 2017, and at Terremark, a Verizon Company, from January 2012 to December 2012. Their responsibilities in these roles included designing cloud infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), network, and security solutions for public sector agencies. Sean possesses extensive knowledge of various technologies, including Cisco, NetApp, and Citrix Netscaler. Before their tenure at Verizon, Sean worked as a Senior Sales Engineer at SAVVIS, Inc. from January 2003 to August 2008, where they designed large-scale global IP WAN solutions. Prior to that, they worked as an NTAC Engineer II at Sprint from January 2000 to June 2002, troubleshooting Cisco routers in a WAN environment. Sean also worked as a WAN/LAN Engineer II at UUNet Technologies, An MCI WorldCom Company, from March 1999 to January 2000, where they were responsible for configuring and troubleshooting TCP/IP routing devices and managing DSL connections.

Sean Magee received a Bachelor's degree in English and Communications from Virginia Tech between the years 1986 and 1991.
