Diego Barbera

Diego Barbera is a seasoned Senior Backend Engineer with extensive experience in software development and engineering management. Currently employed at Gigs since January 2022, Diego previously worked as a Senior Backend Engineer at Zalando from October 2020 to October 2021. At Fraugster, Diego held dual roles as Engineering Manager and Senior Backend Engineer from September 2017 to September 2020. Early in the career, Diego contributed to Medigo GmbH as a Software Engineer, Junior Web Developer, and Web Development Intern between October 2014 and September 2017. Diego's work experience also includes participation in the ESA Summer of Code in Space 2014 with the European Space Agency. Diego holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and was an Erasmus student at Technische Universität Wien.
