Dean Hand

Dean Hand is the Chief Research Officer at the Global Impact Investing Network since September 2019, where responsibilities include shaping research strategy and leading innovative initiatives in impact performance and training programs. In addition, Dean serves on the Board of Advisors for the SDG Impact Finance Initiative and the Academic Advisory Board for CFA UK. Previous roles encompass positions such as Board Trustee for the Springfield Convent School for Girls and Sweet Valley Trust, Advisor at the University of Pretoria, and Impact Investment Strategist at Ashburton Investments. Dean holds a Master of Philosophy in Inclusive Innovation from the University of Cape Town and has extensive experience in impact investing, combining an academic background in Organizational Psychology and Industrial Sociology with practical roles in research, strategy, and advisory capacities.
