Adrian Tomkinson has extensive experience in preclinical safety and toxicology, currently serving as Senior Director of Nonclinical Safety & Pathobiology at Gilead Sciences since March 2011, where responsibilities include managing preclinical safety programs for small molecules and biologics, as well as preparing sections for regulatory filings. Previously, Adrian worked as Director of Preclinical Development at Aerovance Inc., leading safety programs for multiple clinical projects, and held roles at Bayer Health Care and the National Jewish Medical and Research Center focused on pharmacological support for respiratory diseases. Adrian began a career in pharmacology at Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, developing in vivo models to support drug development. Adrian holds a PhD and BSc (Hons) in Respiratory Pharmacology and Pharmacology, respectively, from the University of Sunderland.
