Alan Smith

Alan Smith is a highly experienced FRCP qualified physician currently serving as Senior Director of International Medical Affairs at Gilead Sciences. With over 10 years in the industry, Smith has worked across diverse therapeutic areas, including HIV, fatty liver disease, and oncology, and has held significant management roles in both the health and pharmaceutical sectors. Previously, Smith was the Senior Director for NASH/Fibrosis Medical Affairs in the EMEAC region and has extensive experience in leading medical affairs teams and developing strategies in global healthcare. Alan originally trained in medicine at the University of Leeds and has a clinical background spanning 19 years.
