Elena Vendrame

Elena Vendrame currently serves as the Director of Clinical Research in Virology at Gilead Sciences, a position held since April 2020. Concurrently, Elena holds multiple teaching roles at Stanford University School of Medicine, including Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor, Adjunct Clinical Instructor, Instructor, and previously served as an Infectious Diseases Fellow and Chief Fellow. Prior experience includes a residency at Pennsylvania Hospital and a postdoctoral research position at the University of California, Los Angeles. Elena began research work as a Predoctoral Researcher at the University of Padova, focusing on the pathogenesis of Lymphoproliferative Disease of Granular Lymphocytes. Elena earned an M.D. in Medicine from the University of Padova between 2002 and 2008.
