Jaclyn Liu has a robust academic and professional background in microbiology, global studies, and research. With a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Jaclyn served as a General Chemistry Peer Led Team Learning (PLTL) Mentor and Senior Leader, facilitating team-learning sessions and mentoring new leaders while fostering student engagement. Additionally, Jaclyn worked as a Teaching Assistant in a chemistry course, providing instructional support to students. Jaclyn's experience extends to the medical field, serving as a Patient Data Entry & Medical Billing Assistant at Bay Area Obstetrics & Gynecology, where communication with Mandarin-speaking patients was essential. Currently, Jaclyn is a Research Associate in the Inflammation Biology department at Gilead Sciences and has previous research experience at Washington University School of Medicine, focusing on encephalitic alphavirus-host receptor interactions.
