John Eksterowicz

John Eksterowicz is a Senior Director of Structural Biology and Chemistry at Gilead Sciences, bringing over 20 years of experience in drug discovery, having advanced four molecules to clinical development. Previously, they served as Senior Director at Frontier Medicines, where they led Computational Chemistry and Research Informatics, and held roles at ORIC Pharmaceuticals and Amgen, contributing to several significant oncology drug discoveries. With expertise in structure-based and ligand-based design, lead optimization, and informatics platform development, they have established themselves as an innovative leader in the field. John is currently furthering their education as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of California, San Francisco, while also pursuing a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at UCLA and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Delaware.
