Laura Bauer possesses extensive experience in the field of chemical engineering, having worked in various capacities since 1999. Beginning as an R&D Engineer at Facilichem Inc. from June 1999 to March 2002, Laura transitioned to SRI International as a Chem. Engineer for a brief period before joining ALZA Corporation as a Chemical Engineer III from June 2002 to October 2007. Following this, Laura became Associate Director at XenoPort, Inc. from October 2007 to July 2016, and is currently serving as Research Scientist II at Gilead Sciences since December 2016. Educationally, Laura holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, completed in 1999.
