Lei Chen

Lei Chen is a seasoned professional in biotherapeutics with extensive experience in protein discovery and development. They served as Senior Director of Biotherapeutics Discovery and later as Executive Director at Biocytogen Pharmaceuticals from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they held positions as Senior Scientist at AbbVie Bioresearch Center between 2013 and 2017 and as Associate Principal Scientist at Merck from 2017 to 2019. Lei also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Los Alamos National Laboratory from 2007 to 2011 and as a Senior Scientist at Abbott Bioresearch Center from 2011 to 2013. Currently, they are the Director of Antibody Discovery at Gilead Sciences since 2022.
