Lisa Johnson, PhD MBA, currently serves as the Director of Biomarker Sciences and Diagnostics at Gilead Sciences, leading the development and validation of biomarker assays for cancer immunotherapy. Johnson has held significant roles at Kite Pharma as Principal Scientist in Translational Medicine and at Trillium Therapeutics Inc. as Director of Translational Research, with a strong focus on translational research strategies in immuno-oncology. Earlier career experiences include positions at Emergent BioSolutions, BC Cancer Agency, University of Minnesota, and Dendreon, encompassing pre-clinical studies, translational research in immune modulation, and clinical immunology. Academically, Johnson holds a PhD in Microbiology, Immunology, and Cancer Biology from the University of Minnesota, an MBA from Golden Gate University, and a B.Sc. Hons. in Biology/Biotechnology from Carleton University.
