Lucia Muntean

Lucia Muntean is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in patent law and intellectual property. Currently serving as Senior Counsel II at Gilead Sciences since April 2021, Lucia previously held the position of Senior Counsel I. Prior to Gilead Sciences, Lucia was a Patent Associate at Foley & Lardner LLP from May 2017 to March 2021, where responsibilities included managing global patent portfolios and analyzing complex patent strategies. Additional experience includes roles as a Patent Consultant and Law Clerk from May 2016 to May 2017, as well as an IP Legal Intern at Jones Day from October 2014 to May 2016. Lucia holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Fordham University School of Law and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
