Max Summerhayes

Max Summerhayes is currently the Country Medical Leader in Oncology at Gilead Sciences, where they are establishing a new oncology team. With a career beginning in CNS pharmacology, Max transitioned to cancer research in the mid-1980s, first working as one of the first specialist oncology pharmacists in the UK and later in various roles within medical affairs at Roche. After leading initiatives in cell therapy at Kite, a Gilead Company, Max has returned to focus on solid tumors. They hold both a Bachelor of Pharmacy and a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of London.
