Ruth Hwang, MS, CSP, has extensive experience in environmental health science and toxicology, with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Toxicology from the University of California, Davis, and a Master of Science from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Ruth's research career includes roles as a Graduate Student Researcher at the UCLA Center for Environmental Implications of Nanotechnology, where significant investigations into nanoparticle toxicity were conducted, resulting in first-authored publications. Previous positions include various roles at Stantec ChemRisk as a Health Scientist, where project management and literature analysis were key responsibilities, and a Technical Development Research Associate at Genentech, contributing to process control in research and manufacturing. Ruth has also been involved in educational activities as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, mentoring undergraduate students in genetics, and has worked on aquatic ecotoxicology studies and food safety research throughout earlier career stages.
