Simon MacKinder

Simon Mackinder is a seasoned professional in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Director of Commercial Operations for EMEA and Asia at Gilead Sciences since September 2012. Prior to this role, Simon held the position of UK Country Manager at ViiV Healthcare from June 2011 to September 2012. Simon's extensive experience at Pfizer from October 2004 to June 2011 included various leadership roles such as Head of Pulmonary Vascular Business Unit for the UK and Ireland, UK Brand Operations Manager, Regional Account Director, Business Director, and Sales Operations Manager. Earlier career positions were held at AstraZeneca as UK Primary Care Training Leader and in various sales management roles, along with a brief tenure at Innovex as Regional Business Manager. Simon Mackinder earned a BSc in Chemistry from Coventry University in 1988.
