Sofie Walenbergh

Sofie Walenbergh, PhD, is currently the Affiliate Head of Patient Safety Benelux at Gilead Sciences, where they ensure compliance with Pharmacovigilance Quality Management Systems. Previously, they served as a Senior Associate Global Safety at Amgen, leading significant compliance initiatives and the COVID-19 crisis response for the Dutch affiliate. Sofie completed their PhD in Hepatology at Maastricht University, where they also held a postdoctoral researcher role, contributing extensively to scientific literature and mentoring students. They held further responsibilities as a Pharmacovigilance Manager at Synthon, managing safety reports for various drugs.
