Steve Axt

Steve Axt is a seasoned professional in the pharmaceutical industry with over three decades of experience. Since February 2010, Axt has been with Gilead Sciences, currently serving as Senior Manager for the Drug Substance Pilot Plant, following a role as Manager in Pilot Plant Process Development. Previous roles include Associate Scientist focused on Process Research at Gilead and Research Associate III at Roche Pharmaceuticals, where responsibilities included the synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) at GMP and non-GMP scales. Axt's career began as a Chemist II at Syntex USA and has included roles in API chemical development at Nycomed Salutar and organic chemistry research at Henkel Research Corp. Axt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis.
