Steve West is currently the Director of Virology Biostatistics at Gilead Sciences, where they lead statistical activities for HIV, HCV, and Cardiovascular therapeutic areas in Phase 1 clinical trials and spearhead standardization efforts for the Early Development Biostatistics Group. They have extensive experience in the design and analysis of clinical trial data, previously serving in various statistical roles at bioMerieux, PPD, and Chiltern International. Steve also operated West Statistical Consulting, offering personalized statistical support to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. They hold a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the College of Charleston.
