Patrick Kaufman currently serves as the Head of Zero Emission Bus at GILLIG, responsible for leading the development of zero-emission bus initiatives since December 2024. Prior to this role, Kaufman held various influential positions at Accelera by Cummins, including Powertrain Solutions Product Line Leader and Global Director of Powertrain Engineering, with a focus on battery electric vehicle (BEV) and fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) technologies. Kaufman has also worked at Efficient Drivetrains, Inc., where as Manager of the Dixon Development Center, innovative powertrain solutions were developed, and at Electric Vehicles International, LLC, managing systems engineering projects for medium-duty electric trucks. Earlier experience includes a role as a Hybrid Controls Engineer at Bright Automotive Inc. Kaufman holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University.
