Gingko House: Empowering Seniors through Social Enterprise, Bakery & OEM Services
Established in 2003, Gingko House ( www.gingkohouse.hk ) is a pioneering social enterprise in Hong Kong dedicated to promoting senior employment. It provides meaningful jobs for elderly individuals facing financial needs or wishing to stay active, helping them regain self-confidence and achieve active aging. Over two decades, it has employed more than 5,000 seniors.

Operating as a self-financed model, Gingko House has expanded into a diverse business ecosystem run by elderly staff:

Catering & Bakery: Operating multiple thematic restaurants and a dedicated bakery brand producing healthy, preservative-free bread and pastries handmade by seniors.

OEM & Food Manufacturing: Utilizing its certified central kitchen to offer professional OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and food processing services, tailoring high-quality food products for corporate clients.

Organic Farming & Retail: Managing "LOHAS Organic Farm" and "Gingko Store" to supply and retail healthy goods.

Deeply committed to community care, its "LOVE Project" engages senior staff to prepare and distribute free "Love Rice Boxes" to low-income elders and the homeless. Supporting Gingko House means investing in premium bakery and OEM services, while fostering a more inclusive society.
