Diego Alvarez

Diego Alvarez is an experienced sales and technical leader with a robust background in telecommunications and technology solutions. Currently serving as the International Sales Manager at Gintel AS since April 2023, Diego previously held the role of Regional Sales Manager for Southern Europe at both iBwave Solutions Inc. and Corning Incorporated from October 2017 to April 2023. Prior to that, Diego worked as a Senior Business Development Manager at Bertrandt Group in early 2017, focusing on innovative projects in the Internet of Things and Smart Cities. Diego's extensive experience also includes leading technical sales strategies at Microsoft for the Telefónica Global account and holding various positions at Nokia from 1999 to 2014, where responsibilities included product marketing and lifecycle management for Nokia devices across Europe and Latin America. Diego began expertise development as a Scholarship Holder at NUCLENOR, contributing to application support at the Garoña Nuclear Power Plant. Diego holds a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad de Cantabria.
