Kent Young

Kent Young is an experienced professional in the field of chemistry and technology, currently serving as a Board Member at Graphite Innovation & Technologies (GIT) since August 2023, where the focus is on developing graphene-enhanced marine coatings for improved environmental impact. Prior to this role, Kent Young held several key positions, including Senior Director of Technology and Director of Technology at Sherwin Williams from August 2003 to January 2023, and Manager of R&D at Parker Hannifin from March 1996 to August 2003. Kent Young began a career in research as a Senior Scientist at Polaroid from June 1989 to March 1996. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Dalhousie University.
