Achille Mascia

Achille Mascia's work experience begins with their current role as a Software Engineer at GitGuardian, a code security platform. They joined the company in May 2022 and are responsible for automated secrets detection and remediation. GitGuardian recently raised $44 million and is supported by influential investors.

Prior to this, Achille worked at Qynapse, starting in November 2019 as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern. They then progressed to a full-time Machine Learning Engineer role in November 2019 and further advanced to become a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in July 2021. Achille's time at Qynapse concluded in April 2022.

In 2018, Achille held two positions concurrently. Firstly, at Columbia University in the City of New York, they served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a Data Analytics in Python course. In this role, they graded assignments and exams, held office hours, and mentored and evaluated research project teams. Their tenure at Columbia University lasted from August to December 2018.

Additionally, in 2018, Achille worked as a Data Science Intern at Weight Watchers for three months, from May to August.

Achille Mascia has a diverse education history. Achille obtained a Master of Science degree in Operations Research from Columbia University in 2017-2018. Prior to that, from 2015-2018, they pursued an Engineer's degree in Computer Science at CentraleSupélec. Before their university studies, Achille attended Lycée Saint Louis, where they focused on Math, Physics, and Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained certification in Natural Language Processing Specialization from Coursera in October 2020.
