Tom Forbes

Tom Forbes is a seasoned software engineer currently serving as a Staff Engineer at GitGuardian since January 2024. Prior to this role, Tom held similar positions at Kraken Technologies and Onfido, where extensive contributions were made to internal Python tooling and the design of microservices. Experience includes work at Marvel App developing Django backend systems and transitioning to CDN services, as well as significant developments at Context Information Security, where Tom created a document management system for collaborative pentesting. Early in the career, Tom developed a bespoke system for penetration test management at 7Safe and served as Director at VPS Forge. Tom holds a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science from the University of Hull, earned between 2011 and 2015.
